Mystified are a 1 man band that plays dark ambient mixed with experimental and industrial music and this is a review of their 2011 album "For Phillip K. Dick" which was released by Kalpamantra.
Synths bring in some dark ambient/drone soundscapes to the music, while the sound effects have a very dark avant garde noise feeling to them along with a mixture of short and long songs, as for the drum programming it brings an industrial/kraut rock feel to the music.
Vocals are all spoken word parts and samples, while the album concept is based upon the writings of science fiction author Phillip K. Dick, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion Mystified are a very great sounding experimental dark ambient drone hybrid and if you are a fan of this style of music, you should check this band out. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Overwhelming The Impression" "The Other Police Force" and "Muted Longevity". RECOMMENDED.
